My site does not load after moving to Zeyo Host

Your site worked at your old host but not here. Check DNS, the files' folder, the database and HTTPS.

Troubleshoot Checked against panel v2.3.2 Updated 11 Oct 2026 · 3 min read

What it means

After a move, a site usually fails for one of four reasons: the domain still points to your old host, the files are not in the folder the domain serves, the site cannot reach its database, or the browser is asking for https:// before the domain has a certificate here. Each one has a different symptom, so start by finding out which server answers.

Check this first

  1. On the panel's home page, note the Shared IP Address under General Information.
  2. Open Advanced → Track DNS, enter your domain, choose A in Record and click Look Up.
  3. Do the same for www. followed by your domain.
  4. Click Show Delegation to see which name servers are in charge of the domain.

If the answers are not your Shared IP Address, the domain does not point here yet. If they are, the problem is on the server: go to the matching section below.

Fix it

The domain still points to your old host

Update your registrar or DNS provider as described in Point your domain to Zeyo Host. Name server changes can take hours to spread, and A records follow their TTL. Your own computer may also remember the old address for a while; Track DNS asks from your hosting server, so trust it over your browser.

If you use our name servers, check the domain's A records in the Zone Editor too.

You see a default page, or "403 Forbidden"

  1. Open Domains → Domains and check that the domain is listed. If not, add it under Create a New Domain.
  2. Note its Document Root, normally web/example.com/public_html in your home directory.
  3. Open that folder in Files → File Manager. Your site's start file (index.php or index.html) must be directly inside it. If it is in a subfolder (such as public_html/mysite, or a Laravel application's public), move the files up, or click Manage on the domain's row in Domains → Domains, enter the folder in Subfolder (optional) and click Save.
  4. If your site starts from index.php and the folder also has a default index.html, delete the index.html.
  5. If files were uploaded but do not open, run Security → Fix Home Permissions.

See Domains and File Manager.

The site shows a database error

Databases do not move with your files. You need to:

  1. Create a database and user in Databases → Database Wizard or Databases → MySQL® Databases. Their names start with your hosting username and an underscore.
  2. Import your old database's export file in phpMyAdmin.
  3. Update your site's configuration file with the new database name, user and password.

The browser warns that the connection is not secure

Your old host's certificate did not move with the site. Once the domain points here, get a new one with Run AutoSSL on Security → SSL/TLS Status. See Secure your site with HTTPS.

The site loads but shows errors

Check Metrics → Errors for the domain. A different PHP version from your old host is a common cause: see My site shows a 500 error.
