Payment methods

The ways you can pay for hosting, how each one works, and how to update the card or account you pay with.

How-to Checked against panel v2.3.2 Updated 11 Oct 2026 · 2 min read

You choose how to pay when you order. The order page lists only the payment methods we have switched on, so you may see fewer than the ones below. If none is available, the page says "New orders are not open yet. Please check back soon."

The methods

Shown at checkout as How you pay Renewals
Card (Stripe) By card on Stripe's secure checkout page. Charged automatically to the same card.
PayPal You approve a subscription on PayPal's site. Charged automatically by PayPal.
Card or PayPal (Paddle) By card or PayPal on Paddle's checkout. Paddle is our reseller and merchant of record, and sends you the tax invoice. Charged automatically by Paddle.
Bank transfer (manual) You send a bank transfer using the details we show, quoting the invoice number. We send a renewal invoice before each period ends; you pay it the same way.

Pay by bank transfer

Bank details are shown only to a confirmed email address.

  1. On the order page, choose Bank transfer (manual) and click Continue to payment.
  2. Open the email "Confirm your email to complete your order" and click Confirm my email. The link works for 3 days.
  3. The order page now shows the amount due and the payment details. Quote the invoice number as the payment reference.
  4. Send the transfer. Your account is set up as soon as we have confirmed the payment.

An order that is not paid within 14 days expires, and its invoice is cancelled.

Update your card or payment account

For card, PayPal and Paddle payments you change the card or account on the payment provider's own page.

  1. In the panel, open Preferences → Billing.
  2. On your subscription, click Change payment method.
  3. Update your details on the provider's page.

Change payment method is not shown for bank transfer: there is nothing stored to change. Billing also shows which method each subscription uses, under Paid with.

Pay an open invoice

Open invoices have a Pay now button in the Invoices list on Preferences → Billing. It opens the payment page of the method that subscription uses. See Invoices and receipts.
